Magazine Ad- Covergirl TrueYou Match Lipstick (Spec)

Client: Covergirl

Challenge: To drive purchases of the new Covergirl TrueYou Lipstick. The target audience enjoys shopping regularly for make-up items that enhance their natural beauty, rather than look fake or over-the-top. Furthermore, they value health and hydration in their make-up routines.

Solution: I wanted to focus on the main two points of interest for the target audience: natural beauty and hydration. The benefit of natural beauty and confidence is conveyed through the headline “Reawaken the TrueYou”. This copy, paired with the cold/dry to warm/hydrated design concept, hints at the idea of coming out of hibernation and stepping into the consumer’s natural beauty. Furthermore, the subheadings follow a pattern that could be likened to affirmations for confidence in their natural beauty.
